PrintHot Stuffed Sandwich
Ingredients:
1 Round loaf Italian bread
1 Pound Garrett Valley Turkey Andouille or Kielbasa
1 Pound Garrett Valley Turkey Andouille or Kielbasa
1 Large chopped onion
1 Medium chopped green pepper
1 16 oz. Can whole tomatoes in juice, undrained
1/2 tsp. TABASCO pepper sauce, divided
6 Eggs
1/3 Cup milk
1/4 tsp. Dried basil leaves
2 Tbsp. Butter or margarine
1 Cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
1 Medium chopped green pepper
1 16 oz. Can whole tomatoes in juice, undrained
1/2 tsp. TABASCO pepper sauce, divided

1/3 Cup milk
1/4 tsp. Dried basil leaves
2 Tbsp. Butter or margarine
1 Cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cut a thin slice off the top of the bread in 1 piece. Scoop out soft center of loaf leaving 1/2 inch-thick shell. Replace top and wrap bread in aluminum foil to keep fresh. In large skillet, combine sausage, onion and green pepper. Cook about 10 minutes or until browned. Drain off fat. Stir in tomatoes and 1/4 tsp. TABASCO sauce; break up tomatoes with fork. Simmer 5 minutes; stir occasionally.
Meanwhile in medium bowl, beat eggs with milk, basil and remaining 1/4 tsp. TABASCO sauce. In medium skillet melt butter; add egg mixture and cook, lifting mixture from bottom and sides with spatula. Cook until eggs are set but still moist. Sprinkle one third of the shredded cheese onto bottom of prepared bread shell. Spoon in half the meat mixture; sprinkle with one third cheese. Layer scrambled eggs and remaining meat; sprinkle with remaining cheese. Replace top of bread. Rewrap in foil and place on baking sheet. Bake 25 minutes or until heated through. Remove wrapping; cut into thick wedges to serve.
